Baraka and Me

This section consists of photos taken by my children of me.

In these photos, my love for the children is intact, and the children's affection for me is also contained.

 

The time I taught about multiculturalism while serving as a social and cultural teacher in Baraka was a time to heal my body and mind with the innocence of children. In this place with my children, I was able to put down the burdens that had been placed on me and found the direction of my new life by playing with them.

 

The children who met again as photographers were different. I was very surprised by the photographic talent of the children, and I was happy to hear that they wanted to become a photographer.

 

Just as these children have become incomparable precious people to me, I also want to be a memorable person to these children, even a little.

이 섹션은 아이들이 나를 찍어준 사진들로 구성되어있다. 이 사진들에는 아이들을 향한 내 애정이 고스란히 담겨 있기도 하고, 나를 향한 아이들의 애정이 담겨 있기도 하다.

 



바라카에서 사회문화 교사로 봉사하며 다문화에 대해 가르쳤던 시간들은 아이들의 순수함에 나까지 몸과 마음이 치유되는 시간이었다. 아이들과 함께한 이곳에서 나는 아이들과 같이 뛰놀며 비로소 내게 지워졌던 짐들을 내려놓을 수 있게 되고, 내 새 삶의 방향성을 찾게 되었다.

 

사진작가로 다시 접한 아이들은 색달랐다. 나는 아이들의 사진적 재능에 크게 놀랐고, 사진작가가 되고싶어졌다는 아이들의 얘기에 기뻤다.



 

 

 

 

 

 

나에게 이 아이들이 비할 데 없는 소중한 사람이 되었듯이, 나도 이 아이들에게 조금이나마 기억에 남는 사람이 되길 원한다.
